FAQ’s
What gear should I bring/wear?
Please bring: hat, sunglasses, rain jacket, quick dry clothing (weather appropriate). Guide will provide all terminal tackle necessary for outing. If you have personal fishing gear, please bring your rod/reel outfit, waders, boots only if appropriate for our waters.
When and where do we meet?
Guides will meet client at predetermined location at specified time in corresponding location of trip. If transportation is needed, guide will assist in transportation. Client should expect a phone call from your Montford Angler guide no later than 8:00pm evening prior to trip date. In case of emergency contact call 828-575-3480.
What is your cancellation policy?
If reservations are cancelled more than 20 days before a scheduled trip, a full refund of deposit will be issued. Failure to reschedule 20 days prior will result in forfeiture of deposit. Clients are responsible for full payment when cancellations are made less than 5 days prior to scheduled trip. Inclement weather cancelations will be rescheduled accordingly.
Do I need a license?
Clients are required to purchase fishing licenses prior to trip. Consult with guide to determine state/location of trip. (State specific requirements below)
North Carolina
Please contact NCWRC to purchase NC comprehensive license with Trout stamp (1-day or Annual). Small mouth trips do not require trout stamp. Get your license by clicking the button below or call 1-888-HUNT2FISH.
Tennessee
Please contact TWRA to purchase your TN fishing license (please select ALL SPECIES, most anglers choose the 3-day).
